I am Amère Blackwell.

I am an actor based in Los Angeles. I took to performing because I felt at home when I was entertaining. I am neurodivergent so in my daily life I always had to censor myself in a way to fit in. When I was 10 I was introduced to acting onstage. I finally had a place where I could take risks on stage and express myself fully,  which I couldn’t do in my normal life. Through my primary education I studied Musical Theater and Classical Theater. 

I started studying at a performing arts school at age 13 and studied various instruments and singing/voice. I received an Honors Diploma with my high school diploma in which I studied Voice and Stage Performance. I graduated in 2020, 6 months early due to the pandemic. This allowed me to dig deeper and truly understand the Art of Entertainment, from its earliest roots to modern day. 

Since moving out to LA I have studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute where I received a certificate in Method Acting. I have worked on many student and short films gaining 12 Film, 1 theatre, and 1 musical theatre credit(s) in 2023. I have played various roles including teen and young adult. I also have been casted in various roles, some  I gained experience working with prosthetics and intricate costumes.

My goals as an artist are to tell stories of many kinds, from independent artists to studio productions. I truly believe Film and Tv are the most influential and important art forms. I want to lead in this industry in the stories I help tell and express.
