Amère Blackwell is a multifaceted artist. Her areas of focus include Acting, Music, And visual arts. Growing up exposed and involved in performing and visual arts, She has a vast knowledge base and appreciation for all forms of art and performance.

With her main area of study being acting, She is currently studying Method Acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Having studied acting through middle and high school, she grew an appreciation for the art of acting at a very early age. Since studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, she has found deeper connections to characters and a deeper understanding of how to create a living person out of words on a page.

Amère has also studied music starting at the age of 5. She first started studying piano, then eventually started studying voice and vocal performance at the age of 10. At age 13 Amère started studying at the Flint School of Performing Arts, studying under professional musicians. Her education included singing in various languages including Italian, french, Latin, and German. She also studied music history, exploring different vocal styles/performanc (jazz, opera, American folk, classical, pop, musical theatre). Once in high school, she started work on receiving her Honors Diploma. She started studying Guitar, ukulele, and the English Renaissance Lute. She also worked on executing a educational recital about the English Renaissance Lute, exploring the history and lyricism of the composers of the age.

Visual arts have been an ongoing area of interest for Amère. She has worked on projects including Painting, Pastels, Drawing, Digital collage, and Digital Art. At age 16 Amère had a gallery shown through Flint Handmade, where prints of her work were auctioned. While paining/ drawing she likes to focus on Expressionsim, Abstract Expressionism, Contemporary, and Photorealism.
